The UConn Graduate Entertainment & Media Association (GEMA) prepares students for careers in the entertainment and media industry through experiential activities, networking, and educational events. GEMA concentrates on building strong professional relationships and developing deep industry knowledge that helps our members compete for top employment opportunities in all areas of entertainment, media, and other positions in the spotlight.
The UConn Graduate Entertainment & Media Association (GEMA) is committed to serving the career, networking, and experiential needs of UConn School of Business students and alumni interested in the entertainment and media industries. GEMA seeks vital educational and career-oriented opportunities for its members throughout a variety of industry sectors including new media, film, television, music, publishing, video games, theatre, and the arts.
The mission of the UConn Graduate Entertainment & Media Association (GEMA) is to bring current events, issues, and job opportunities in the media and entertainment industries to the School of Business through guest speakers, workshops, networking events and conferences, possible mentorships and other additional efforts.
This is not a vote on a mission statement, it's a poll. We'll discuss it at the meeting.
